The School Song
For King and laws our fathers fought
And we by their example taught
Will kindle glowing at the thought.
Rex et nostra jura
On sand bank drear amidst the foam
They strove to build a worthy home
From England's coasts no more to roam
Rex et nostra jura
Nor men nor ships they e'er denied
When England for their succour cried
Now Yarmouth's motto is our pride
Rex et nostra jura
Great sons of peace we too may claim
All hail to Paget's honoured name!
To Martin's and to Manby's fame!
Rex et nostra jura
Still true to the spirit of the Past
Our school her eyes doth backward cast
And to this motto she holds fast
Rex et nostra jura.
In work, in play we ever strive
To keep this spirit still alive
Now may Great Yarmouth ever thrive!
Rex et nostra jura.
