The above photograph was given to me by Ann Berwick.Can anyone supply us with the names of those featured? Even one or two of them would help! I have received the same picture from Jenny Evans which is much clearer, further down the page.
The above photograph was taken during the last summer of the existence of the "Great Yarmouth High School for Girls" in 1957. I didn't remember them all but with the help of Jane Freeman(nee GRASS) I have managed to get most of the names. I have just found this old photograph of the teachers who took us on the school trip to Wilderswil in 1954. I believe they are, from the left, Miss Capon, Miss Ellis, Miss Black, Miss Miller and Miss Mumford. Perhaps you could verify this. We had a wonderful trip and I can remember how magical it was waking up on the train in the morning. after a long journey through the night, and seeing mountains for the first time. The above was sent by email from Jenny Evans (nee Rowlands) who was at the school 1956-61. She is the one in shorts kneeling in front row, far right. This would be about 1959 in Gorleston. Another picture from the same era from Jenny Evans but no names. Can anyone help? I have just realised that this is the same picture as Ann Berwick gave me, she must have been in Jenny Evans form. It's a much clearer picture.
