Photographs of the October 2008 Lunch at the Burlington Hotel
Esme Ellis
67 ladies attended the reunion lunch at the Burlington on Thursday 30th October. 53 ladies took the time to write and apologise for their absence. It was mutually agreed that good manners had been taught in our school days and had always stayed with us.
Jane Freeman(nee Grass) introduced each of the ladies, in turn, to make sure we were aware of just who was at the lunch and to catch up with old friends and class mates.
Ladies came from as far away as Southampton, Kent and Felixstowe.Six of the ladies had never been to one of our luncheons before but we hope they will return.
Esme Ellis, who's husband's father had presented the school with the "Ellis Cup", asked if anyone knew where the cup was. Fortunately one of the school governors was present, Aileen Stone (nee Barker) who kindly promised to track it down.
Although Nina Trick and Jenny Jackson could not be at the lunch they asked if any of the ladies had memories of the time when the school moved from Trafalgar Road to Lynn Grove. They would like to put these memories in the next Newsletter

Lunch was of the usual high quality and a good time was had by all.
